Boardwalk Empire alum Gretchen Mol has booked an 8-episode arc on Amazon’s comedy Mozart In The Jungle. Based on the memoir by Blair Tindal, the project, written by Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman and Alex Timbers, is all about sex, drugs and classical music and shows that what happens behind the curtains at the symphony can be just as captivating as what happens onstage. Mol, repped by ICM and John Carrabino Management, will play veteran labor lawyer Nina Robertson. The New York Symphony’s contract is up for negotiation and they need a real badass to fight for them, so they bring in Robertson, who’s just come off a big win for the NHL Players’ Union. Mol is coming off a successful run in the Tony-nominated, Pulitzer Prize-winning play Disgraced, and recently wrapped feature Manchester By The Sea opposite Michelle Williams and Kyle Chandler.
