There’s no doubt about the ratings draw of Donald Trump. NBC’s Meet The Press With Chuck Todd was No. 1 across the board on August 16, delivering its biggest total-viewer audience since Todd took over the program last fall. Indeed, the segment produced the most viewers the veteran Beltway show has drawn since February 9, 2014, Opening Day of the Sochi Winter Olympics. Todd’s exclusive interview with Republican presidential front-runner Trump and an interview with Democratic candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders also pulled in its biggest adults 25-54 demo audience since March 1 of this year.
MTP averaged 3.61 million total viewers, 739,000 more than ABC’s This Week, 775,000 and 1.2 million more than the CBS’ Face The Nation.
