Former Ryan Murphy Television president Dante Di Loreto has been named President of Television at Chernin Entertainment, where he will oversee the day-to-day development and production for the company in the TV arena. He will report to Jenno Topping, Head of Film and Television.
Di Loreto most recently worked for his own WatchWorks Entertainment, which he started this year after parting ways with Murphy seven months ago. He spent eight years working for Murphy’s company on such series as Glee and American Horror Story.
Di Loreto’s appointment comes under Chernin Entertainment’s recently inked two-year TV overall deal with NBCUniversal. He succeeds Katherine Pope, who left to launch a TV division for Jeff Robinov’s Studio 8.
