With another primetime win, NBC will feeling pretty good today. Having topped Sunday and Monday, the Comcast-owned network won Tuesday with a 2.1/7 rating and 9.21 million viewers based on strong performances from America’s Got Talent (2.5/9) and Hollywood Game Night (1.5/5).
Not only was the former the top rated and most watched (11.18 million) show of the night, but AGT saw a 14% rise among adults 18-49 from its August 4 show. That night saw competition, such as it was, from the CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night To Rock on ABC. If AGT had a good night, then lead-out HGN had a great night with 36% rocket upwards among the key demo. That’s a series high match for the Jane Lynch hosted celeb game show and quite the flip from last week’s season low. With 5.3 million watching, HGN also hit its second best viewership ever – with the audience of 5.5 million of January 27, 2014 still the tops there.

The rest of the Big 4 had just one original offering last night with CBS’ Zoo (1.1/4) the top rated and best performing of the three week-to-week. The limited series based on James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge’s 2012 bestseller was up 10% over its August 4 show. Both Fox’s 8 PM Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? (0.6/2) and ABC’s 9 PM Extreme Weight Loss (0.7/2) were even in the key demo with last week. The CW was all encores on Tuesday.
