“I remember when the title of this show was ironic,” Comedy Central President of Original Programming Kent Alterman said today in announcing a Season 6 and 7 renewal for Workaholics. The cable net ordered a pair of 10-episode seasons for the series starring Blake Anderson, Adam Devine and Anders Holm. New episodes will premiere in January,
The single-camera comedy follows the exploits of three friends who work together as SoCal telemarketers from 9 to 5, live together from 5 to 9 and party together 24/7. As the boys try to fit in such bothers as dress codes, deadlines and waking up before noon, they do their jobs and sometimes they even do them well, but they tend to show up late and leave drunk.
Co-created by Anderson, Devine and Holm along with director Kyle Newacheck, the series is exec produced by Mail Order Comedy, Kevin Etten, Avalon Television’s Richard Allen-Turner, David Martin, Jon Thoday and Isaac Horne. Jim Sharp and Rachel Olson are the Executives in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.
