History’s panel at Comic-Con for its original series Vikings in Room 6A teased fans of the show about the upcoming Season 4 of the period drama — and then showed a trailer for the upcoming season, which is still in production in Ireland. Besides the cloud of a reckoning coming between brothers Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) and brother Rollo (Clive Standen) that darkened at the end of Season 3, there were more hints from creator-writer Michael Hirst: like a return of the god Odin.
The panel also featured star Fimmel, Standen, Katheryn Winnick and Alexander Ludwig along and History EVP Dirk Hoogstra.
Vikings remains History’s sole scripted drama series as the network has been looking to use the popular show to launch a new scripted series. It was renewed for Season 4 five episodes into its third-season run. Overall, the season averaged 2.45 million viewers per episode. Season 4 will air in 2016.
