Vella Lovell & Pete Gardner Join CW’s ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’; Ray Proscia Recurs In Amazon’s ‘The Man In The High Castle’

Vella Lovell and Pete Gardner are set as series regulars opposite Rachel Bloom in The CW’s upcoming comedy series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. The project centers on Rebecca (Bloom), a successful, driven and possibly crazy young Manhattan woman who impulsively gives up everything in a desperate attempt to find love and happiness in that exotic hotbed of romance and adventure: West Covina, CA. Newcomer Lovell, repped by Gersh and Industry Entertainment, plays Rebecca’s underachiever neighbor Heather. Gardner, repped by Ellis Talent Group and Patino Management, plays Rebecca’s boss Darryl, who considers himself very cultured and intellectual. His recent credits include The Brink, Eagleheart and Full Circle.

Ray Proscia has been cast in a recurring role on Amazon’s upcoming drama series The Man In The High Castle, written and executive produced by Frank Spotnitz based on the novel by Philip K. Dick. Ridley Scott, David Zucker and Jordan Sheehan also are exec producing. Proscia will play Reinhard Heydrich, a high-ranking Nazi official who was one of the main architects of the Holocaust. Hitler described him as “the man with the iron heart.” The veteran actor’s recent TV credits include Major Crimes, NCIS: Los Angeles, Bones and Legends. He is repped by the House of Representatives and Impact Artists Group.
