Two new agents are joining the search in Fox’s reboot of The X-Files. Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose have signed on to guest on one episode each of the resurrected series. Amell (CW’s The Flash) will play the smart and smooth Agent Miller, with Ambrose (USA’s Dig) as the sharp and confident Agent Einstein.
The six-episode new X-Files chapter hails from series creator Chris Carter, with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their roles as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Mitch Pileggi is reprising his role as Walter Skinner, and William B. Davis is returning as the Cigarette Smoking Man. Community‘s Joel McHale also has been tapped for a guest role. It will launch on January 24, after Fox’s coverage of the NFC Championship Game and will settle into its regular Monday slot the following night.
