FXX Sets Date For ‘The League’s Final Kickoff, Season 2 Of ‘You’re The Worst’

The final opening night for FXX’s The League is set. The network said today that it will kick off the seventh and last edition of its Seinfeld-esque fantasy football comedy at 10 PM on September 9 — the day before the NFL regular season starts — followed by Season 2 of the anti-romantic comedy You’re The Worst at 10:30.

Created and EP’d by spouses Jeff and Jackie Marcus Schaffer, The League revolves around a group of longtime friends who endure predicaments and constantly jab at one another while competing in their fantasy football league. Mark Duplass, Nick Kroll, Jon Lajoie, Stephen Rannazzisi, Katie Aselton and Paul Scheer star. You’re The Worst, from writer-exec producer Stephen Falk, follows a mismatched couple (Chris Geere and Aya Cash) who move in together but aren’t too thrilled about it. Desmin Borges and Kether Donohue co-star. Both shows are from FX Productions.
