EXCLUSIVE: Dolphin Digital Media has announced that its new series South Beach will begin streaming July 29 exclusively on Hulu. The six-episode series, set in the affluent Miami neighborhood, follows the aftermath of a murder that appears to signal the return of a serial killer thought to have been killed two decades earlier. As the investigation proceeds, a complex web of crime, greed and betrayal ties together rival drug lords, bitter conflicts within the music industry, local politics and law enforcement.
South Beach stars Ana Villafañe as Carmen Suarez, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood as local nightclub owner Samantha Lear, Manny Montana as A&R executive Octavio Cruz, and Jordi Vilasuso as Isaac Santero. Rounding out the cast are Arlene Tur, Marc Menard, Deniz Akdeniz, Eddie Finlay, Steve DuMouchel and Whitney Anderson. South Beach is directed by Joshua Caldwell, with Brian Hurwitz writing.
