FX boasted this afternoon that the unveiling of its latest Denis Leary vehicle, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll copped the biggest Live + 3 Day jump of any comedy series in the network’s history.
The July 16 episode posted a 57% L+3 jump in total viewers from the opening night, up to 1.36 million from 867,000. An even bigger 61% boost was enjoyed in the 18-49 demo, from 440,000 viewers to 710,000.
Late last week, Deadline reported FX’s latest Denis Leary vehicle Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll averaged 867,000 total viewers for its premiere, including 440,000 in the 18-49 demographic. These were Live+Same Day numbers, which FX declined, in the nicest possible way, to discuss, having stated about a year ago that it considered Live + Same Day stats to be pure horseradish, explaining – accurately – that it’s not 1998.
