Rachael Holmes (Chasing Life) has booked a recurring role on Amazon’s hourlong dark comedy/drama Mad Dogs from Cris Cole (The Good Times Are Killing Me), and Shawn Ryan (The Shield). Based on the UK original, Mad Dogs follows the reunion of a group of underachieving 40-something friends in a Belizean villa where a series of wild events unfold, exposing dark secrets, deception and even murder. Holmes, repped by Kass Management, will play Erica, a friendly employee in a local pharmacy, who it turns out, is a force to be reckoned with. Holmes joins a cast that includes Ben Chaplin (The Thin Red Line), Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos), Billy Zane (Twin Peaks), Steve Zahn (Dallas Buyers Club) and Romany Malco (Weeds).
Spencer MacPherson (DeGrassi: The Next Generation) has been cast in a season-long recurring role on The CW’s period drama Reign. MacPherson will play Charles, a boy on the edge of puberty who has begun to realize that he may be the next King of France sooner than he’d imagined. This harsh realization causes him to swing back and forth between fulfilling the needs of a teenage boy and a drive to be the best ruler he can be. MacPherson is repped by Industry Entertainment and AMI.
