ABC’s midseason series The Catch has found its bad guy. Peter Krause, coming off a long run on NBC’s Parenthood, has been tapped to co-star on Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers’ thriller drama, which stars Mireille Enos as a fraud investigator who becomes a victim herself at the hands of her fiancé (Krause). Krause takes over the key role of Keiran Booth from originally cast Damon Dayoub.
Booth is a successful, longtime con man who lives the good life with other people’s money but might be meeting his match in Alice (Enos), who between cases must hunt him down before he ruins her career and her life.
Jennifer Schuur wrote and executive produces the ABC Studios series with Rhimes, Beers and Julie Anne Robinson. Check out ABC’s first look post-upfronts here.
ABC is plotting a Shondaland Thursday all season long for 2015-2016. How to Get Away With Murder has a shorter order as part of a deal with star Viola Davis and can be succeeded in midseason by The Catch, with Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal staying on at 8 PM and 9 PM, respectively.
