Miguel Arteta will direct an adaptation of the Jennifer Niven YA novel All The Bright Places for Demarest Media and The Mazur/Kaplan Company. Elle Fanning is attached to star in the film, which will be scripted by Nivel. Demarest is funding and producing alongside Mazur/Kaplan. The plan is for Fanning to play a young girl who learns to live from a boy who intends to die. Random House Children’s Books/Knope Books For Young Readers published the book earlier this year and it is on the bestseller list.
Arteta is coming off Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day, and Cedar Rapids and Youth In Revolt. He’s repped by WME, Management 360 and Fanning by WME and Echo Lake and Niven by WRSG.
