‘MasterChef’ & ‘Last Comic Standing’ Ratings Steady On Otherwise Even Night

The schedule was pretty full, but there wasn’t a lot cooking on TV last night. With the exception of Fox’s MasterChef (1.4/6) dipping 6% among adults 18-49 and a clip heavy America’s Got Talent (1.6/6) 10^th anniversary special rising 33% over last week’s clip show, pretty much everything else was even with its July 22 demo results.

With that stronger than last week AGT lead-in, NBC’s Last Comic Standing (1.4/5) slipped just 7% in the demo from its 2-hour Season 9 debut. Which meant that NBC won the night in both the demo and among total viewers with a 1.6/6 rating and 7.09 million watching – as it did last Wednesday. MasterChef lead-out Home Free (0.9/3) was even with its premiere last week.

Otherwise, the night’s top-rated show Big Brother (1.8/7) and Extant (0.7/3) were the same as their July 22 shows for CBS. Celebrity Wife Swap (0.8/3), ABC’s lone original of the night, matched last week too – which was a series low.

The CW was all encores.
