Sons Of Anarchy alum LaMonica Garrett has signed on to the cast of XOXO, the directorial feature debut of Chris Louie. The film follows six strangers whose lives become intertwined over the course of a long, hopelessly romantic night. Garrett plays Chopper, manager and right hand man to superstar DJ Avilo [Ryan Hansen]. In addition to Garrett and Hansen, the film stars Sarah Hyland, Graham Phillips, and Chris D’Elia. It’s produced by Max Leitman and Joe Russell, from a script by Dylan Meyer. Netflix has worldwide rights, and the film will premiere day and date on the streaming service along with theatrical and other platforms. Garrett will soon be seen along with Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell in Daddy’s Home from Paramount, as well as The Hotwives of Las Vegas for Hulu, and Mr Robinson for NBC. Jake Weary, most recently seen in the acclaimed indie horror film It Follows, has been cast in the lead role of Tomato Red, the new feature from Oscar nominee (short film) Juanita Wilson. Based on the novel by Daniel Woodrell, the story follows a drifter ex con who becomes embroiled in the fortunes of a family of petty criminals. As they attempt tandem schemes intending to escape their impoverished lot, complex social and sexual obstacles lead to tragedy. Weary plays Sammy, narrator of the novel. Anna Friel and Julia Garner costar. Weary has also been seen recently in Lifetime’s A Deadly Adoption, and is currently starring in Kenzo’s Fall/Winter campaign. He’ll soon be seen in Message From the King alongside Chadwick Boseman and Luke Evans, and in Smartass, costarring with Joey King. He’s repped by Gersh and Marnie Sparer at Corner Booth Entertainment.
