Nicholas Hytner’s drama The Lady In The Van has been taken off of its December 11, 2015 date by Sony Pictures Classics and will be rescheduled. It is, as yet, unset. The film about a man who befriends a transient woman living in her car who parks in his driveway, stars Maggie Smith, Dominic Cooper, James Corden and Jim Broadbent. No one was available from SPC to talk to Deadline about the move.

Sundance InstituteThe Sundance Institute Native Filmmakers Lab has chosen two writers to receive grants for production of their short films: Razelle Benally (Navajo/Oglala Lakota) and Randi LeClair (Pawnee). The lab runs today through July 14 in Santa Fe, NM, and will be followed by the inaugural Native Writers Workshop, jointly hosted by Sundance Institute and the Institute of American Indian Arts. The workshop will support six emerging Native storytellers who seek to share their voices in film and TV.

David Posamentier and Geoff Moore have been tapped by Incunable Prods. to adapt the novel Give + Take, a story about a jazz pianist who moonlights as a thief in a twist on the Robin Hood tale. They writing duo previously wrote and directed the 2104 indie film Better Living Through Chemistry and are developing the film Food Fight and a remake of the 1985 film Explorers for Paramount Pictures.
