Jason Sudeikis, Cheryl Hines & Tim Meadows Lead ‘Son Of Zorn’ Cast

EXCLUSIVE: The animated/live-action comedy Son Of Zorn (wt, previously Son Of Zahn) from The Lego Movie duo of Phil Lord and Chris Miller has rounded out its cast. Jason Sudeikis, Cheryl Hines, Tim Meadows (Marry Me) and Artemis Pebdani (Sex Tape) join previously announced Johnny Pemberton (21 Jump Street) in the comedy, which wrapped production this week for a presentation at Fox.

In Son Of Zorn, an animated fantasy warrior finds that reconnecting with his estranged live-action son and ex-wife while suffering through a mundane office job and the banality of suburban life is harder than waging war in his distant, animated homeland.

Sudeikis voices Zorn, Hines is Edie, Zorn’s ex-wife and Alan’s mother, Meadows is Craig, Edie’s live-in boyfriend, and Pebdani plays Linda, Zorn’s superior at Sanitation Solutions, his new place of work. They join previously announced Johnny Pemberton, who plays Alan, Zorn’s moody teenage son.

Reed Agnew and Eli Jorne serve as showrunners and executive produce alongside Lord, Miller and their TV exec Seth Cohen (Last Man On Earth). Eric Appel (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) is director and and co-executive producer. 20th Century Fox TV, where Miller and Lord’s company is based, is the studio.
