Fox Searchlight Pictures has promoted Matthew Greenfield and David Greenbaum to Executive VP’s of production effective immediately. Re-upping their contracts Greenfield and Mr. Greenbaum will jointly manage all aspects of the production department and continue to report President of Production Claudia Lewis.
Greenfield has been a senior exec at Fox Searchlight for the past nine years, and has sheparded through such films as The Descendants, Enough Said and the current Nicole Holofcener film starring Julianne Moore and Chris O’Dowd. Prior to joining Fox Searchlight in 2006, Greenfield was an award-winning independent film producer whose feature credits included The Good Girl, Chuck & Buck and Star Maps.
Greenbaum has been a senior executive at Fox Searchlight for five years, most recently overseeing Wild and The Drop, and is currently in production on Wilson starring Woody Harrelson and directed by Craig Johnson and produced by Alexander Payne. Greenbaum is also involved in the Fox Innovation Lab where he oversaw the studio’s first virtual reality production, Wild: The Experience. Prior to joining Searchlight in 2010, Greenbaum was a production executive at Miramax Films in New York and London.
