“When civilization ends, it ends fast” as foretold at Comic-Con, and ahead of next month’s premiere of Fear The Walking Dead, the how-it-began companion to its uber hit series The Walking Dead, AMC today released the new show’s official key art. Yes, that’s the Los Angeles skyline. Fear The Walking Dead is scheduled to debut Sunday, August 23 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. As announced at Comic-Con, the FTWD Season 1 finale will be followed by a special episode of Talking Dead during which host Chris Hardwick will recap and discuss all six episodes with special guests and will include viewer questions and comments.
Fear The Walking Dead returns viewers to the dawn of the zombie apocalypse – a time when the world was changing rapidly and unpredictably, before anyone understood or exactly what was happening. The new series is executive produced by Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, David Alpert and showrunner David Erickson and produced by AMC Studios. Set in Los Angeles but shot in Vancouver, Fear The Walking Dead stars Kim Dickens as Madison, Cliff Curtis as Travis, Frank Dillane as Nick, Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia, Elizabeth Rodriguez as Liza, Ruben Blades as Daniel, Mercedes Mason as Ofelia and Lorenzo James Henrie as Chris.
