Faran Tahir (Iron Man) has joined the second season cast of John Ridley’s ABC drama series American Crime. Tahir will play Rhys Bashir, the chairman of the board at the local school. Tahir joins returning stars Lili Taylor, Felicity Huffman, Timothy Hutton, Elvis Nolasco and Richard Cabral, all of whom will be playing new characters in a new setting. Season 2 is filming in Austin, TX. Ridley executive produces American Crime with Michael J. McDonald for ABC Studios. Tahir , repped by Greene & Associates, also plays The Commander in CBS’ new drama series Supergirl.
Holly Curran has booked a recurring role opposite Christina Ricci in Amazon’s drama pilot Zelda. The project, executive produced by Christine Vachon, Dawn Prestwich & Nicole Yorkin, Pam Koffler and Ricci, is about celebrated American novelist Zelda Fitzgerald (Ricci), wife of The Great Gatsby author F. Scott Fitzgerald (Gavin Stenhouse). Curran, repped by Henderson Hogan and Thruline, will play Tilde, Zelde’s sister. Curran’s other TV credits include Amazon’s Alpha House and AMC’s Turn.
