The Walking Dead’s Emily Kinney has joined the third season of Showtime’s Masters Of Sex in a multi-episode arc. Set in 1966, Season 3 finds the famed duo of William Masters (Michael Sheen) and Johnson (Lizzy Caplan) dealing with the glare of the national spotlight as their sex study finally is unveiled. It’s the start of the Sexual Revolution — and Masters and Johnson’s work will have a profound impact on contemporary relationships, especially their own evolving three-way “marriage” with Masters’ wife Libby (Caitlin FitzGerald). Kinney will play Nora, who was Bill and Libby’s neighbor as a child. Now in her 20s, Nora volunteers to become a sex surrogate in the next phase of Masters and Johnson’s research. Kinney’s TV credits include The Following, The Good Wife, The Big C, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: SVU and the upcoming Season 2 of The Knick. She is repped by Paradigm, Anonymous Content and Frankfurt Kurnit. Masters Of Sex Season 3 premieres July 12 at 10 PM.
Jonathan Silverman (Weekend At Bernie’s) has joined the cast of HBO’s offbeat hospital comedy Getting On. Adapted by Big Love creators Mark V. Olsen & Will Scheffer, Getting On follows the staff in the women’s geriatric long-term care ward of a dysfunctional Long Beach, CA, hospital as they battle the medical bureaucracy. Silverman, repped by Paradigm and Untitled Entertainment, will appear in all six episodes of the show’s third and final season as nephrologist Dr. Happy Gladden, alongside stars Laurie Metcalf, Alex Borstein, Niecy Nash and Mel Rodriguez. Next week, Silverman wraps production on The CW’s new comedy Significant Mother.
