Elodie Yung Will Play Elektra In ‘Marvel’s Daredevil’ On Netflix

The Marvel/Netflix series isn’t making an appearance at Comic-Con this year, but Daredevil still plans on getting attention. In the second major casting announcement in a month, Elodie Yung (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, District 13: Ultimatum) has been tapped to play Elektra. Season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil, the first of four Marvel series for Netflix, will be released in 2016.

Played by Jennifer Garner in the Daredevil feature, Elektra is a mysterious woman from Matt Murdock’s past whose dangerous and exotic ways might be more than he can handle. The first season of Marvel’s Daredevil starring Charlie Cox made reference to the character, but she will be formally introduced in Season 2.

Yung is the latest major cast addition to Marvel’s Daredevil. She joins Jon Bernthal, who will play Frank Castle aka The Punisher.
