Daniella Pineda (American Odyssey, The Originals) has been cast as a series regular in TBS comedy, The Detour. Created by Jason Jones and Samantha Bee, The Detour is inspired by Jones and Bee’s own experiences with family getaways. It follows a couple and their two young kids as they take a road trip to Florida. Jones plays unfiltered dad Nate, who packs his wife, Robin (Natalie Zea), along with their rebellious daughter Delilah (Ashley Gerasimovich) and simpleton son Jared (Liam Carroll), into the family car for what Nate is convinced will be the adventure of a lifetime. Every leg of their trip, however, is fraught with unforeseen disaster as they encounter one hellish turn after another. Pineda, repped by Innovative Artists, Kirsten Ames Management and attorney Isaac Dunham, will play Vanessa, Robin’s obliviously distasteful sister.
Parenthood alumna Courtney Grosbeck has booked a recurring role on NBC drama series The Player (formerly Endgame). Philip Winchester and Wesley Snipes star in the Las Vegas thriller that centers on a former military operative turned security expert who is drawn into a high-stakes game where an organization of wealthy individuals gamble on his ability to stop some of the biggest crimes imaginable from playing out. Grosbeck plays Dani, the teenage niece of Alex King (Winchester) who is mourning the loss of her Aunt Ginny, King’s wife. Grosbeck is repped by Amsel, Eisenstadt, Frazier & Hinojosa and manager Bernard Kira.
