Colin Salmon has landed a major, season-long recurring role in CBS’ upcoming sci-fi drama Limitless, based on the 2011 feature starring Bradley Cooper, who is reprising his role as a recurring guest star and serves as an executive producer. The series centers on Brian Finch (Jake McDorman) — a new character that exists in the same world as the movie’s Eddie Mora (Cooper) — who discovers the brain-boosting power of the mysterious drug NZT and is coerced by the FBI into using his extraordinary cognitive abilities to solve complex cases for them. Unbeknownst to the FBI, Brian also has a clandestine relationship with Mora, a presidential hopeful and regular user of NZT who has plans of his own for his new protégé.
Brirish actor Salmon will play Jared Sands, a former intelligence officer who now works as a fixer for Mora. He keeps tabs on Finch, making sure the man is doing exactly what Mora asks.
Salmon, repped by Lighthouse Entertainment and the Curtis Brown Group, recurs on UK series No Offence. He next will be seen opposite Kevin Costner in the Ariel Vromen-directed Criminal and in the political thriller London Has Fallen.
Craig Sweeny penned the Limitless TV adaptation and executive produces the series with Cooper, Marc Webb, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Heather Kadin, Todd Phillips, Ryan Kavanaugh, Tucker Tooley and Tom Forman for CBS Television Studios, K/O Paper Products and Relativity Television.
