The archer has some new threads for Season 4. Stephen Amell showed off a new leather version of his Arrow suit Saturday at Warner Bros. TV’s Night of DC Entertainment. The show’s costume designer Maya Mani created the outfit for the evolving Oliver Queen character. She also has been behind a number of the show’s tights for Arsenal (Colton Haynes), Black Canary (Katie Cassidy), Speedy (Willa Holland) and Ray Palmer’s A.T.O.M. (Brandon Routh). The new season of Arrow launches on Wednesday, October 7 at 8PM.
Said EP Greg Berlanti of the new get-up, it shows a progression for Oliver Queen from “Arrow to Green Arrow. (The costume) is going to reflect who he becomes, not where he has been.”
Other reveals about the next season at tonight’s panel: the political activist/terrorist Anarky from Batman lore will make his debut as well as Mr. Terrific, a powerful, Olympic-built muscle man who was known in the DC universe as a reserve member of the Justice Society of America. Berlanti, in response to fans’ wanting more LGBT characters on the show, told the crowd that Mr. Terrific will be gay.
