Alchemy has positioned itself to be nonstudio aggregator for Walmart, Target, Best Buy and Sam’s Club and expand Alchemy’s annual content flow to more than 1,300 films and 3,000-plus television episodes.
Alchemy also gains 50 new content partners including Bagdasarian Productions, owner of the Alvin And The Chipmunks franchise; DreamWorks Animation’s nontheatrical and classics divisions, a portfolio that also includes the VeggieTales franchise and classics such classics as Frosty The Snowman, Casper The Friendly Ghost and Rocky & Bullwinkle; Halo franchise owner Microsoft; Team Marketing; Vertical; Well Go USA; Ketchup; and XLrator.
ARC is a family and faith-based supplier to Walmart and other national retailers. Alchemy will partner with ARC to optimize and distribute their media assets. In addition, Alchemy will financially support the Bentonville Film Festival and provide distribution to titles associated with the event. As part of today’s deal, Charlie Anderson will become an investor in Alchemy.
