AMC Networks has formalized the new Sundance TV roles for Charlie Collier‘s senior management team at AMC. Following April’s promotion of AMC President & General Manager Collier to President & General Manager of both AMC and SundanceTV, he was expected to give similar dual roles to most of his top lieutenants. That has now been finalized, with AMC’s EVP and head of programming Joel Stillerman elevated to President of Original Programming and Development for both AMC and SundanceTV. He will continue to report to Collier. Jan Diedrichsen, a 14-year veteran of AMC Networks who most recently served as SVP of Affiliate Marketing, has been named Executive Director of SundanceTV. In his new role, he will report to Collier and focus solely on Sundance TV.

Since joining AMC in 2008, Stillerman has overseen the development and production of such AMC original series as The Walking Dead, Talking Dead, Hell On Wheels, the Breaking Bad prequel Better Call Saul and the upcoming Fear The Walking Dead and Into The Badlands.
“Joel has had a meaningful impact on the growth and evolution of AMC, and SundanceTV will benefit from his programming expertise and leadership,” Collier said. “Jan is a seasoned and talented executive and his role will be critical to the ongoing growth and development of SundanceTV as a network, a brand and a business.”
Additionally, AMC’s head of public relations, Marnie Black, is being promoted to EVP of Public Relations for AMC and SundanceTV. Here is a full list of members of Collier’s AMC senior management team who will expand their roles to oversee their same functional areas at SundanceTV:
Marnie Black, Public Relations
Tom Halleen, Programming & Scheduling
Mac McKean, Digital Media
Melanie Schneider, Research
Linda Schupack, Marketing
Joel Stillerman, Original Programming
The need for changes at the top of SundanceTV arose following AMC Networks’ acquisition of BBC America, when Sundance TV topper Sarah Barnett was given the reins of the newest AMC network and she took her No.2 executive, Nena Rodrigue, with her.
