The dream week of Courtney Kemp Agboh, creator, executive producer and showrunner of Starz drama series Power, continues. Following the news on Tuesday that the Saturday Season 2 debut of the crime drama has set a new season premiere ratings record for Starz with 1.43 million Live + same day viewers and the Wednesday Season 3 renewal, Starz has signed Kemp Agboh into an overall deal.
Under the pact, Kemp Agboh will continue as executive producer/showrunner on the drama, which straddles two different worlds: the glamorous New York club scene and the brutal drug trade. She is executive producing alongside Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.
“Courtney is a highly regarded showrunner whose creative vision brings viewers into the two worlds of Power,” said Carmi Zlotnik, managing director of Starz.

Before creating Power, which airs in 175 territories, she has worked on Fox’s The Bernie Mac Show, ABC’s Eli Stone, and CBS’ The Good Wife.
