Independent financing and production studio studio IM Global and music rights management company Kobalt have formed a co-financing and administrative partnership to handle music publishing and distribution/marketing services. Kobalt will handle domestic and foreign releases of soundtracks and manage the rights to scores and songs for IM Global Films, IM Global Music and IM Global Television. IM Global is a subsidiary of Reliance ADA.
First projects covered under the partnership will be scores written and recorded for Secret In Their Eyes with Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman, and Chiwetel Ejiofor; Collide starring Nicholas Hoult, Felicity Jones, Anthony Hopkins and Ben Kingsley; Viral from directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman (Paranormal Activity 3 and 4); Incarnate starring Aaron Eckhart, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Carice van Houten; The Autopsy Of Jane Doe starring Emile Hirsch and Brian Cox; and Fifty Shades Of Black starring Marlon Wayans.
Additionally IM Global Music has entered a digital distribution, label services and marketing agreement with AWAL, Kobalt’s wholly owned label, through which IM Global Music will release some soundtrack albums under its own label.
