After five seasons on CBS’ The Good Wife, Keith Eisner is moving on, signing an overall deal with Lionsgate TV. Under the multi-year pact, he will join Graves, the studio’s upcoming comedy series for Epix, while also developing and producing new scripted programming. This marks a rare writer overall deal for Lionsgate TV, which has been keeping a lean talent roster.
On the single-camera Graves, which stars Nick Nolte as former U.S. President, Eisner will serve as executive producer alongside showrunner Joshua Michael Stern as well as Greg Shapiro and Eric Weinberg.
Before his five-year stint on The Good Wife, on which he rose from co-executive to executive producer, Eisner, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, served as a co-executive producer on another legal drama, NBC’s Law & Order. His credits also include Shark, Gilmore Girls, Philly and NYPD Blue.
Graves marks a return to comedy for Eisner who began his career in the genre, writing for game/improv shows including Whose Line Is It Anyway?
“Keith brings extraordinary talent and a wealth of experience to Lionsgate having worked on several of television’s most acclaimed series,” said Lionsgate TV Group’s Kevin Beggs.
Eisner is repped by WME and The Shuman Company.
