Arrested Development co-creator/co-executive producer Brian Grazer did not give a specific premiere date, but said production on Season 5 will start after the first of year (January or February) with new episodes premiering about four months after that.

Grazer told Adam Carolla today on Carolla’s podcast that he spoke today with Fox and with series co-creator series Mitch Hurwitz and told Hurwitz the news. “Netflix is determined to do more episodes so we’re going to do more episodes,” he said, adding, “It’s a lot of juggling of all these stars’ lives.” In April, Grazer said Season 5 would consist of 17 episodes, up from Season 4’s 15 episodes.

Netflix revived the canceled series with a Season 4 run in May 2013. Previously, it aired on Fox for three seasons from 2003-2006. Jason Bateman stars, along with Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, Portia de Rossi, David Cross and Alia Shawkat.
