Kristen Figeroid is exiting her post as Sierra/Affinity’s EVP Sales and Distribution to pursue other opportunities. The move was announced on the eve of Cannes, which officially kicks off Wednesday. Figeroid has been with Sierra/Affinity since 2010 when she joined as SVP Sales. Figeroid will still be part of the Sierra/Affinity team at this year’s Cannes market representing the company and its sales slate, and then formally exiting her post in mid-June. At that time Figeroid’s responsibilities will be absorbed by the existing team at the company.
“Over the past five years Kristen has been an integral part of the team that has grown Sierra/Affinity’s feature film sales business and we are thankful for her commitment and success,” said co-principals Nick Meyer and Marc Schaberg. “She has been part of the fabric of our growth and we wish her continued success in her next venture.”
Sierra/Affinity’s slate at Cannes this year includes hot title The Coldest City, starring Charlize Theron. Deadline broke the news that Focus has pre-emptively acquired North American rights to the project, an elevated spy thriller based on the bestselling Oni Press graphic novel by Antony Johnston.
