Jonathan Bennett (Mean Girls) has been cast in a multi-episode arc for the second half of the fifth and final season of MTV’s comedy series Awkward. Bennett will play Ethan, who works with Jenna (Ashley Rickards) at her summer job. With high school ending and everyone heading in different directions, the second half of Season 5 will jump forward to one year later, summertime back in Palos Hills. In addition to Rickards, Bennett joins cast members Beau Mirchoff, Molly Tarlov, Jillian Rose Reed, Brett Davern, Nikki DeLoach, Desi Lydic and Mike Faiola. Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler executive produce. Bennett is repped by Primary Wave and TalentWorks.
Kim Shaw (I Just Want My Pants Back) has nabbed a series regular role on CTV’s Saving Hope. She will play Mina, a new Junior Resident who has gotten far on her good looks, good will and encyclopedic mind. Shaw, repped by Innovative Artists, Glasser Management and Link, recurred on the CBS’ The Good Wife and is shooting the indie Christine opposite Rebecca Hall and Michael C Hall.
