Indie producer Bron Studios has set the voice cast for its first animated feature film Henchmen, based on the Adam Wood short that premiered during SIGGRAPH 2014 last summer. James Marsden, Thomas Middleditch, Rosario Dawson, Alfred Molina, Nathan Fillion, Jane Krakowski, Rob Riggle, Craig Robinson and Will Sasso will lend their voices to the pic, about a band of blue-collar workers at the Union of Evil who must come together to save the world. The movie is in production at Bron’s studios in Burnaby and Duncan, British Columbia. Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy’s Gary Sanchez Productions, originally aboard the project as exec producer, is no longer involved, with scheduling issues cited. The pic is a Bron Studios production in association with CW Media Finance. Bron’s Aaron L. Gilbert and Luke Carroll are producing and CW Media Finance’s Jason Cloth and Bron’s Brenda Gilbert are executive producing. WME Global is handling sales of the film outside Canada,where. eOne Canada will distribute.
David Dastmalchaian (Prisoners), Gail Bean (Unexpected), and James Gunn film regular Valentine Miele have joined the cast of the Gunn-scripted MGM horror pic The Belko Experiment, which begins shooting soon in Bogata under helmer Greg McLean. Gunn has been announcing the cast on Facebook. John Gallagher Jr., Tony Goldwyn, Adria Arjona, Michael Rooker, Melonie Diaz, John C. McGinley, Sean Gunn, Owain Yeoman and Steve Agee are already aboard the movie, about a group of corporate employees in a San Paulo, Brazil office building who are mysteriously forced to either start killing each other or be killed.
