Veteran comedy writer-producer Donick Cary has signed a two-year overall deal with CBS TV Studios. In the first year of the deal, he will be loaned out to HBO comedy Silicon Valley, where he is doing a stint as consulting producer, while developing for CBS Studios.
Cary started his writing career on Late Night and Late Show With David Letterman before segueing to The Simpsons. He created Comedy Central’s animated series Lil’ Bush and most recently worked as co-executive producer on New Girl and Parks And Recreation. Cary, who is wrapping Trip, a documentary he has been working on with Ben Stiller’s Red Hour for years, is repped by WME.
