Management’s Alliance Of Motion Picture and Television Producers has a new spokesman: Jarryd Gonzales, a former political director for the California Republican Party.
“Jarryd is a skilled communicator with a proven track record as a spokesperson and trusted communications counselor, having previously worked for both large corporations and high-profile political leaders,” said AMPTP president Carol Lombardini. “We are pleased that he has joined the AMPTP; he will be a great asset to the organization.”
Gonzales most recently served as chief spokesperson for Verizon in California and Texas, and before that as a Western states spokesperson for T-Mobile USA. He was the state GOP political director from 2001 to 2006, and in 2001 served as deputy political director for Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan’s gubernatorial run. He was the deputy campaign manager for Republican Elia Pirrozi’s failed 1999 congressional bid, and served as a political adviser in Serbia and Venezuela for the International Republican Institute.
The AMPTP had been without a director of communications since last October, when Jesse Hiestand stepped down to become director of corporate communications at FX Networks.
