The Black List development project took to Twitter and other social media this morning to announce that Zosia Mamet, Alex Wolff, Julia Garner and Michael Gaston have joined the cast of its first live New York City reading, set for May 2nd at 8:00pm at The New School’s John L. Tishman Auditorium.
Screenwriter Jason Orley will direct his 2014 Black List script and Cooper Thornton will join the cast in New York as Black List Live’s house narrator. Big Time Adolescence is described as the story of Monroe Kaufman (played by Alex Wolff, A Birder’s Guide To Everything; Coming Through The Rye) a 16-year-old virgin with a growth hormone deficiency who slowly gets corrupted by his hero, an aimless college dropout (and his older sister’s ex-boyfriend). Mamet (HBO’s Girls; The Kids Are All Right) plays Kate Kaufman and Holly McCartney. Garner (FX’s The Americans) is Sophie Willits. Michael Gaston (The Mentalist) will play Reuben Kaufman.
