Answer: TV’s two most popular game shows. Question: What are Wheel Of Fortune and Jeopardy!? Right you are, and that’s good for two more seasons of each. CBS Television Distribution said today that both veteran syndie programs from Sony Pictures TV have been renewed through 2017-18. That will bring Wheel Of Fortune through its 35th year and Jeopardy! to its 34th. Word came last month that longtimers Pat Sajak and Vanna White signed to continue rolling with Wheel and Alex Trebek re-upped to give the answers on Jeopardy!
“Not only are Wheel Of Fortune and Jeopardy! iconic brands that have consistently delivered ratings and revenue to stations for years, but they are beloved by viewers who have made them appointment viewing in households across the country,” said Joe DiSalvo, President of Sales for CBSTD. “They are two of the most sought-after shows by political advertisers, so our station partners will benefit from locking up these shows through the upcoming 2016 presidential election season.”
