Don’t be surprised if you see a bunch of announcements like this one over the next few days as theater owners and Hollywood execs gather in Las Vegas for CinemaCon. About two weeks after Imax renewed its slate deal with Disney, the large screen theater company says today that it has done the same with Warner Bros. Pictures.

Imax will show up to 30 WB films through 2020. The list will include  The Man From U.N.C.L.E. , In The Heart Of The Sea, Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, the Tarzan movie, the King Arthur movie, Suicide Squad, Geostorm, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Jungle Book: Origins, and Godzilla 2. Imax also will offer several of WB’s tentpoles based on DC Comics characters, plus LEGO movies.

The extension of their more than 10-year alliance “enriches and broadens Imax’s relationship with key filmmakers, who have always been a top priority for Warner Bros. in bringing the most compelling cinema to audiences around the world,” Imax Entertainment CEO Greg Foster says.

WB says the deal is especially important overseas where audiences “are opting to watch movies on large-format screens, taking advantage of the premium visual and sound quality offered by Imax,” says WB International Distribution President Veronika Kwan Vandenberg.
