UTA has closed deals with CAA agents Mackenzie Condon and Chelsea McKinnies. They will be joining their eight colleagues who made the jump yesterday. Condon is a talent and literary agent working in film and television and will be based in UTA’s New York offices. McKinnies is motion picture talent agent working in UTA’s Beverly Hills offices.
This marks the third wave of CAA agent signings by rival UTA in the past 24 hours. Following the bombshell hire of CAA comedy heavyweights Jason Heyman, Martin Lesak, Greg Cavic, Gregory McKnight and Nick Nuciforo yesterday morning, their colleagues John Sacks, Susie Fox and Joanna Scott followed them to UTA yesterday afternoon. All 10 focus on comedy clients, making this a team defection. McKinnies has worked with Anna Faris, Donald Glover and Jemaine Clement; Condon with Ilana Glazer and Aidy Bryant.
CAA To Take Legal Action Against Five UTA Defectors
About 12-13 CAA agents were said to be in play in the current shakeup, so there may be more agent signings before this is over and done.
