The TV Academy’s Executive Committee added a number of new members today, with Academy Chairman/CEO Bruce Rosenblum appointing five: Bela Bajaria, EVP of Universal Television; David Nevins, President of Showtime Networks; Roy Price, head of Amazon Studios; Kevin Reilly, President of TBS and TNT; and Rick Rosen, head of television at WME. They will work alongside the academy’s officers and Board of Governors to guide and shape the group’s direction. The agenda includes the reinvention and upgrade of its campus and a major campaign to build a significant endowment to expand the educational programs of the Academy Foundation.
“Each of these visionary executives brings an unparalleled breadth of experience and a unique perspective on our business to the Executive Committee,” said Rosenblum. “We are in the midst of a world that is rapidly evolving across so many platforms, and this group will be pivotal in helping us expand the ways we serve our members and the industry.”
The academy’s Board of Governors also has elected its appointees to the panel: Bob Bergen (performers peer group governor), Allison Binder (professional representatives peer group governor), Sharon Lieblein (casting directors peer group governor) and Seth Shapiro (interactive media peer group governor, new to the committee).
