“I wanted you guys to hear it from me first, that the cast and I received news that Eye Candy will not be returning for season 2. Even though a lot of you are going to feel sad/angry, please know that playing Lindy Sampson, is something that I loved and I will hold dear to my heart,” Justice said in her announcement of the series’ cancellation. She thanked her castmates and show runner Christian Taylor, as well as co-executive producer Jason Blum and Blumhouse Productions. She also expressed thanks to the show’s fans, saying “It’s because of all of you that I get to do what I love. I am beyond grateful for that. It made me so happy that you embraced the show the way you did.”
Based on the novel by children’s horror author R. L. Stine about a teenage computer prodigy searching for her missing sister while hunting an elusive serial killer, Eye Candy premiered January 12 of this year. The project, produced by Jason Blum, underwent a creative overhaul after the pilot, with Justice one of only a couple of original actors who continued on the series.
Justice will next be seen in the comedy film The Outskirts, directed by Peter Hutchings and distributed by Clarius Entertainment. It’s scheduled for release in theaters June 26.
