SBS Australia has purchased seasons one and two of Amazon’s crime series Bosch for broadcast in Australia from distributor Red Arrow International. Season one will begin airing on SBS ONE beginning July, 2015. Amazon renewed the series, based on the successful series of novels by Michael Connelly, one month after the first season premier, which enjoyed the biggest ever debut weekend for the streaming service. During its first four weeks, it was the most-watched show on Amazon, including all movies and television. Bosch stars Titus Welliver (Lost) as the titular LAPD homicide detective whose dedication to duty often conflicts with his personal and professional life. SBS provides “multilingual, multicultural and Indigenous radio, television and digital media services that inform, educate and entertain all Australians, reflecting Australia’s diverse society.” Red Arrow Entertainment Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG
