The British Academy of Film and Television Arts have announced today the dates for its upcoming BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards and the EE British Academy Film Awards. The Los Angeles Britannia Awards will take place on Friday 30 October 2015, while the EE Academy Film Awards are happening Sunday, February 14 2016. The Britannia Awards honor creative talents for contributions to collaboration between the US and UK film and television industries. BAFTA’s highest film honor, the EE British Academy Film Awards single out the best films from all nationalities shown in British theaters. The ceremony will be held at the Royal Opera House in London and aired on BBC.

International Television Distribution have extended their licensing deal, allowing ProSiebenSat.1 to continue holding exclusive rights to films and television programs produced in the US for Warner Bros. for several more years. Among the productions included in the license are Fantastic Beasts and where to find them, King Arthur, The Hobbit Trilogy, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, and a host of successful sitcoms including Big Bang Theory. The German film Der geilste Tag is also included in the agreement. SBS Australia has purchased seasons one and two of Amazon’s crime series Bosch for broadcast in Australia from distributor Red Arrow International. Season one will begin airing on SBS ONE beginning July, 2015. Amazon renewed the series, based on the successful series of novels by Michael Connelly, one month after the first season premier, which enjoyed the biggest ever debut weekend for the streaming service. During its first four weeks, it was the most-watched show on Amazon, including all movies and television. Bosch stars Titus Welliver (Lost) as the titular LAPD homicide detective whose dedication to duty often conflicts with his personal and professional life. SBS provides “multilingual, multicultural and Indigenous radio, television and digital media services that inform, educate and entertain all Australians, reflecting Australia’s diverse society.” Red Arrow Entertainment Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG
