Our fourth and final day hosting the Deadline Studio at the Tribeca Film Festival got off to a quick start when the cast and crew of the documentary Very Semi-Serious came by for pics: cartoonists Mort Gerberg and Liana Finck (with masks in tow) were joined by New Yorker Cartoon Editor Bob Mankoff and the film’s director-producer Leah Wolchok and producer Davina Pardo. Photographer Drew Wiedemann switched gears a bit when approaching the team behind the very serious doc A Nazi Legacy: What Our Fathers Did, which included writer Philippe Sands and director David Evans. Sons of Anarchy star—and TFF juror—Theo Rossi breezed through the studio once again, this time to promote his film Bad Hurt with his fellow cast and crew: Johnny Whitworth, Iris Gilad, Calvin Dutton and writer-director Mark Kemble. They were stoked for their film premiere tomorrow night. Also debuting tomorrow is Slow Learners, whose stars Adam Pally and Sarah Burns had the studio in stiches with their before-the-camera antics. They were joined by the film’s directing duo of Don Argott and Sheena Joyce. It made for an enjoyable end to our Tribeca studio sessions. Thanks for clicking through our pics—we hope you enjoyed them—and stay tuned for more fest coverage on the Deadline site.
