EXCLUSIVE: WME and 3 Arts has signed writer/director Joe White off his short film The Brain Hack. The film tells the story of two students who create a shortcut to induce hallucinogenic visions of God, and as a result find themselves hunted by a deadly religious sect. Not surprisingly, his short has caused quite a stir. It’s pretty trippy stuff and the first narrative endeavor for the British born, Gotham-based filmmaker who has a commercial and VFX background. They screen the short this Saturday at the Los Angeles Short Film Festival, but here’s a look for Deadline readers:
