The Killing star Mireille Enos has been tapped as the lead of another drama project, ABC pilot The Catch. Also cast in the pilot, from ABC Studios and Shonda Rhimes’ Shondaland, are Jacky Ido and Jay Hayden (Battleground). Written and executive produced by Jennifer Schuur based on the novel by Kate Atkinson, The Catch centers on Alice (Enos), who is about to get married to Kieran and about to get conned. Unbeknownst to her slippery fiancé, our heroine — who investigates fraud for a living — is not all she claims to be. And when Kieran’s expertly planned con collides with her perfectly constructed lies, they plunge into a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
Ido, repped by Primary Wave, plays FBI agent Thomas Delgado, who’s handling Alice’s case against Kieran. Hayden, repped by The Kohner Agency and Jeremy Tenser, is James, Alice’s right hand and left-brained man at work. Enos, repped by CAA, Gartner/Green Entertainment and attorney Mitch Smelkinson, was approached for several pilots this season. She received an Emmy nomination for her starring role as Detective Sarah Linden in The Killing, and her recent feature credits include The Captive and If I Stay.
