Relativity Studios set Banshee exec producer Adam Targum to adapt Fearless, the Eric Blehm bestselling book about SEAL Team Six operator Adam Brown, who overcame personal demons including drug addiction and jail time, to fulfill his dream of making the SEAL squad. With the support of his wife and family, and drawing on his faith, Brown persevered through relapses and injuries that should have been career ending, but ultimately earning a spot on the elite SEAL Team Six. In a final act of true selflessness, Brown volunteered for an exceptionally dangerous mission during which he was killed protecting his teammates.
Targum, whose father served in Korea, said: “Adam Brown’s humanity and his unwavering faith through adversity inspired me in a way no other book or story ever has. I’m honored to be part of bringing it to an even larger audience.”
Relativity acquired the book and life rights last May. Ryan Kavanaugh and Christy Fletcher of Fletcher and Co. will produce the film. Tucker Tooley will serve as executive producer. Brett Dahl, SVP Production, is overseeing the project on behalf of the studio.
Targum is represented by UTA and lawyer Melissa Rogal at Lichter Grossman.
