Ed Quinn (Eureka) has booked a 10-episode arc on the upcoming third season of ABC’s summer series Mistresses. Quinn will play Dr. Alec Adams, an internist at the hospital. Socially stiff, sometimes downright offensive, Alec is hard to read, but he proves to be a man of much character, depth, and sensitivity. Especially when it comes to his most difficult patient — his ailing wife. Quinn will join series stars Jes Macallan, Rochelle Aytes, Yunjin Kim, and Jennifer Esposito. Quinn, repped by ICM Partners, LINK and Stone, Meyer, Genow, just wrapped the feature Navy Seals Vs. Zombies for Anchor Bay.
Esai Morales (Criminal Minds, NYPD Blue) has been tapped for a recurring role on the upcoming second season of Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk To Dawn: The Series. He will play Lord Amancio Malvado, a figure of terrifying cruelty and power who has a complicated and obsessive relationship with Santánico Pandemonium (Eiza González). He joins previously announced new cast members Danny Trejo and Briana Evigan. El Rey Network’s first original scripted series, From Dusk Till Dawn is based on the cult classic film of the same name by El Rey co-founder Rodriguez, who created the series and directed four of the first season’s installments. Morales, currently a series regular on HBO’s The Brink, is repped by Innovative Artists, LINK and attorney Eric Feig.
