Baywatch star David Hasselhoff will be treading familiar waters. He’s been tapped to play Fin’s (Ian Ziering) father in the third installment of Syfy’s highly successful B-movie franchise. Premiering on Syfy in July, Sharknado 3 will cause mass destruction in the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., than roar down the Eastern Seaboard. Anthony C. Ferrante will once again direct, based on an original screenplay by Thunder Levin. Sharknado 3 is a production of The Asylum. In addition to Ziering, Hasselhoff joins returning stars Tara Reid and Cassie Scerbo, along with Bo Derek, Ryan Newman and Jack Griffo. Additional cameo roles include Mark Cuban, Ann Coulter, Jerry Springer, NSYNC singer Chris Kirkpatrick and Chris Jericho.

Groundling alum Tim Bagley has been upped to regular opposite Craig Robinson on NBC comedy series Mr. Robinson from Universal TV. It centers on Craig (Robinson), who leads a double life — at night he jams in a rock band called Nasty Delicious that has been unsuccessfully trying to break out for a decade; by day, he has a gig that pays the bills working as a substitute music teacher with the Chicago School District. Bagley, repped by Stone Manners Salners and attorney Eric Hyman, Bagley plays Supervisor Dalton, a County School Supervisor who oversees the ever-dwindling budget at Studs Terkel High and Mr. Robinson’s biggest fan.
